WINDOWS: SELFRIDGES LONDON

I'm adding a new section to the blog that was suggested to me by my good friend Erik Rodriguez.  I'm taking the experience of window shopping and bringing it online.  Whenever I see an interesting decorative space in a store window anywhere in the world, I will snap a pic and post it.

First up, Selfridges on Oxford Street in London.  I came across this window on a busy Thursday night and was struck by this whimsical idea.  A pit filled with hundreds of balls, each passing through a giant wooden "roller coaster" drew the attention of the masses.  When I stepped inside to get a closer look, I discovered that each ball had a "fortune" inside and by pulling a giant lever a ball would pop out containing a fortune.

My fortune was 2012 is going to be SUPERDELUXE for you.  Let's hope this is true!

If you have a favorite "window" in your neighborhood, feel free to send it to me and I will post it on my blog!
