Maisha clutches |
Recently I had the chance to get an up close and personal look at the collections for the upcoming Fall season at the Katch PR press day. Fueled by white wine spritzers and sweet treats and pampered with manicures, complimentary blowouts, and eyebrow threading, my fellow bloggers, editors, stylists and I browsed the racks to see what goodies we could expect next season. Here's what I found:
There was a strong use of color blocking in the collection for Math Collective. There was also a mixing of fabrics as in tweed, silk, and leather.
Inspired by the late artist Louise Bourgeois, the range from Delada had gorgeous gowns and a muted neutral palette.
My favorite collection was Zeynep Tosun. The prints were inspired by lightning and had an amazing effect on the garments.
Accessories designer Cleo B had some fun, funky pieces. Cassette tapes (remember those) came in the form of clutches and adorned the heels of shoes. Musical notes stretched across a pair of ankle length booties and it all came in a kaleidoscope of bright, juicy colors.
